Redmi Note 12 Series Launching in India Soon

According to Mukul Sharma who goes by his Twitter handle @stufflisting, Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 12 series in India soon. The exact date is not available, however, it is highly speculated that the launch will be held sometime in early 2023. Mukul goes on to mention that the highest tier aka Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will bring onboard a 200MP primary cam as well. We do know that at least two models will make it to India but we will have to wait for some official information to arrive regarding the same. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 Series in China earlier in October. For perspective, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ with 8GB+256GB configuration carried a price tag of CNY 2,099 which loosely translates into INR 25,000/- although the pricing for Indian markets is seldom the same.

Talking about the specs sheet, the Redmi Note 12 is likely to gain a 6.67” FHD panel that has HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC under the hood while the software is Android 12 paired with Xiaomi’s MIUI 13. The vanilla variant has picked up a dual rear camera comprising a 48MP plus 2MP snapper after reducing the number of sensors compared to the predecessor. There’s an 8MP snapper at the front too. It draws its power from the 5,000 Li-Po battery with 33W wired tech onboard.

Since the phone already made its debut in China, we do know almost all the specs unless Xiaomi decides to change a few things. There’s Dimensity 1080 SoC under the hood and the phone uses a 6.67” FHD+ 120Hz panel. There’s a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging tech as well. The Chinese Redmi Note 12 Pro+ got a triple rear camera with 200MP snapper sitting on top. There’s an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro while the front sports a 16MP shooter. Redmi Note 12 Series duo is speculated to launch in the country sometime early next year. There’s no confirmed date as such so we will have to wait until China’s Apple decides to reveal or it gets leaked anyway.
