As per a report published by WABetaInfo, the quick replies feature will allow the users to reply to the messages that they get in the app without even opening it. The functionality’s screenshot suggested that the quick replies will be sent to the people without accessing the chat window. Talking about the current scenario, the feature is only available for Android and iOS devices. For that, users need to long press a message from the notification panel. Soon, the feature will also be available for the desktop application. The screenshot further shows that the notification on the desktop will show the name of the sender along with a short description of the message. The receivers of the message can tap the three-dot menu next to the open button to get to the quick reply dialog box. However, one thing which we can figure out from the screenshot is that the users may still not be able to reply to the messages with emojis as we were unable to spot the emoji button. Nevertheless, we can say that WhatsApp for the desktop will soon get the emoji button for quick replies too. As of now, the feature is only available for the beta version of WhatsApp for Windows. There has been no confirmation regarding the stable roll out of the feature until now. Still, expectations are that the feature will be launched for the stable version pretty soon. In the future, WhatsApp can also become like Facebook and Instagram as it will also have a regular log-out option.
